My early years spent in Devon exploring the sinister and brooding Dartmoor landscape encouraged a love of nature and observations of all things wild and strange and combined with a life long fascination with Romanesque art has provide an endless source of inspiration for all my work.
This formative period was further enriched by the move to Wales and Abergavenny where I worked as a ceramist for nearly forty years.
Yet another move, this time to Hampshire, has provided the catalyst and opportunity to return to my first love, that of Printmaking.
Finding ways to express and interpret ideas through the medium of Etching, Collagraph and Drypoint is proving a very exciting journey and I am thrilled to find so many echoes of my past ceramic work in the images, processes and tools that I use in the making of my prints.
