BARBRA CROPPER produces etchings and monoprints that bring together elements of architecture and design. 'Archways in Tuscany' is a new series of works, that relate to the histories and memories embedded in the walls and buildings of mediaeval cities. The work engages with issues of identity and the complex relationships that link past and present. BARBRA exhibits widely in the North West. Her studio is in the Lake District and thus her work is often focused on her environment and her travels.

Techniques used etching monoprint
Barbara was born in the Fylde and has lived in Zimbabwe for 9 years. After teaching art to teeenagers she took a B.A.Hons Degree in Art History and Print Making. She is well known as a painter and etcher in Lancashire and Cumbria and exhibits in the North West. Barbra's work is in many collections abroad
