John Dennis
born 1935 in Wagga Wagga N.S.W. Australia, is a
self-taught photographer as there were no facilities in
the rural areas of N.S.W. Australia back in the 1950's.
Inspired from his early work experiences as a 'drovers
help', in shearing sheds as a 'rousabout', and a
'strapper' in racing stables, he was later drawn to
photography and attended an Advanced Photography Course
at Canberra Technical College and completed a Diploma in
Freelance Photography at the Australian School of
Jounalism Sydney.
He has contibuted to various Australian Magazines and
newspapers and was the Proprietor/Publisher of Sports
& Tourist magazine 'Riverina Club News'.
He is Accredited with The Australian News Syndicate and
has been photographer with 'Wagga Daily Advertiser', New
South Wales - 'Rivererina Express', Wagga ,
Lockhart Review and Canberra Courier.
John Dennis has
exhibited in galleries in New South Wales, Victoria and
Queensland and has work published in Ireland, England and
Japan.
Prints are 'archival'
quality, made from the original negatives and finished in
sepia using the traditional method of silver gelatin
bleaching and toning. mounted in double mats with back
attached.
